acoustics1220I have to say, today was really a good day. Not only with ... me by myself, or feeling better since having fevers from Tuesday on, and congestion. But ... YAY!
For one, Dad was home most of the week, and that's really a treat, especially since we get him from Tuesday on Next week as well, since the whole holiday thing. And today, went shopping with mom and seriously - probably the best possible day I've had with mom in a long time. For most of the year, it's just been *squabble squable squable* it was beyond grating, but today we just went around the town shopping, eating, talking - as in, NOT arguing, or bickering, but just enjoying each others company and talking about certain hot topic issues in our home (like the seemingly over-diagnosed kids of today).
Anyway, to top it off, we ate at my favorite hole-in-the-wall cafe where we got 'the works', mom the potato soup in a bread boule? (bread bowl) and myself, smoked turdey with gouda cheese (delicious). And little personal pies. Absolutely made of win. Though there was a hitch before heading out to eat but since *I* tried to take care of the problem, someone's impatience didn't kick in because I am beyond the patient person in this household. I honestly couldn't believe I was as patient as I was; for 2 hour ordeal!!! Thank goodness.
!!! And seriously, the BEST part, the kicker of the kicker: I found a cute little store that carries official Harry Potter merchandise that's about half an hour away, (that's pretty good for my location) but seriously? Seriously. *bounces* They had a vine, rosewood, and some other wood wand there, and a golden snitch, Quidditch goggles, House banners, House patches, ...and I was in HEAVEN. I was seriously GIDDY after browsing the store (will be going back next weekend after making a possible big purchase at an electronics store soon) and I seriously just wanna bounce around from room to room, grinning like a fool. I am so getting a wand. And a Hufflepuff house-patch. Maybe a banner, too. Absolutely made my day.
