hahahha.
So funny - I was watching the last 10 minutes of Regis and Kelly, and then The View came on.
Har - I love Whoopi Goldberg. She rocks so hard. They were talking about how there's a mice infestation in the building because of the construction on their side of the street and Whoopi was like 'if you saw a mouse and a rat by each other, you know you'd pick a mouse cuz mice are all like, 'oh let's eat some cheese!' and rats are like 'I'ma CUT you.'' LOL LOL LOL
Whoopi, yay.
She said that like 40 minutes ago and I'm still giggling. *chuckles*

Date: 2007-11-06 04:54 pm (UTC)I mean, I like meeces when they are cute, clean pets that are taken care of, but when they are running wild all willy-nilly all over one's desk and leaving droppings (like on my co-worker's desk yesterday), it's not really welcome. :P

Date: 2007-11-06 06:05 pm (UTC)I still like Rosie, but I'm a bit ...sympathetic/empathetic to her. Her mother was seriously mental...mentally ill. Of course, I've read her book 'Find Me,' so I'm a bit biased since there's mental illness in my family and WOW it can make any sane person go nuts.
Though she does get really loud sometimes when things could get settled...in a more quiet manner. *shrug*
Whoopi, indeed, is so funny. She even pulled her foot out of her grungy, old-school sneaks and was wearing these Grinch Green socks that were a bit...lol, it was just really funny. She's got big feet man, like size 11. WHOA, lol.

Date: 2007-11-06 07:41 pm (UTC)But yes, rats are totally scary. My first place was on a creek, and we had problems with mice, which was bad enough. And then one day a freaking huge ass rat wandered into my living room. I thought it was my turtle at first. I don't think I've ever screamed that loud in my life. The neighbors upstairs must have thought something awful was happening. It still makes me shudder to think about it.

Date: 2007-11-06 10:06 pm (UTC)I left the house. Ha! We went and got rat traps, and it got caught in one the next morning. The husband said it's body (excluding the tail) was as long as his foot. I refused to look at it dead. Alive was bad enough.

Date: 2007-11-06 10:07 pm (UTC)When I was in 11th grade in bio, I was standing up close to the lab desk with my feet underneath the table. When I was done with my enzymes and stuff I backed away and felt something stuck to my shoe. I tried to scrape it off, but it was stuck for real! So I looked down.
It was a sticky paper MOUSE TRAP I had stepped in under the table stuck to my shoe - with a MOUSE ON IT. I was sooooo freaked out that it didn't even occur to me that taking off my shoe = no more mouse on my foot.
Anyway, my teacher ripped the paper off my foot and broke the neck of the mouse (it had still been alive). He said that sticky paper mouse traps were basically torture devices because th mice suffocate and get crushed to death for days, and that it was inhumane to use them. I felt really bad for the mouse afterwards...but still. **shudder**
