I'm not quite sure about what I feel about Dumbly's history. It's good that he was humanized, but I think I read too much fanfic just ruining this concept to death--I got Dumbly-was/is-evil Fatigue. Still, JKR's twist on it was most original.
Muriel... well, I really don't like her. Reminded me too much of my grandmother who irritated and terrified me by turns. Grandma's worse these days, with her Alzheimer's. Good lord, she KICKS doors down in the dead of night and screams the sleep out of you. ::shudder::
