4th time TRYING to post!!

Is anyone else having issues with LJ?

My issues include:

Unable to see pages that I try to access by LJ-cut/redirecting links.
Unable to access friends page without hitting 'refresh' multiple times.
Unable to view others posts unless I hit 'refresh' multiple times.
Unable to comment on others posts (no matter what I do). (ie, FRIENDS' LIST!!)

Now that I think about it – if others ARE having issues, then they won’t even SEE this post. *facepalm*

A couple of my friends were having severe issues with it last night. For me, it's mostly been the 80% inability to comment on posts and really slow loading times. Still, it's usually not like that, so I'd say it's something wrong on LJ's end.

I know people are having issues. I couldn't get in for over 24 hours. Got in yesterday and today but my friends page isn't as long, not like normal. From what I am reading, some are able to post from their phone but not their computer. They have posted to LJ help but no replies. LJ help isn't talking, no one knows what is going on, some can't post at all. It's total chaos. I am good though, so far. You know, I'll go to hell now. :D

LJ's getting some more DDoS attacks which are bringing the site down. If you have LJ on Facebook you can check there and see how its doing.

What are DDoS attacks?

How'd you find this out? Aforementioned FB page?

Its a Denial of Service attack. Happened a few months ago too, and its basically when the entire site gets hit all at once, and crashes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denial-of-service_attack

I checked FB, and it connected me to http://downrightnow.com/livejournal#refresh where you can check such things.

i thought it was just my rotten luck. Can't access many LJ pages including mine on computer. The iPhone app is working so far.

So it's 4 AM, and this is the first time I've been able to access anything EASILY on LJ. I'm responding now because I can, but we'll see how long it takes for the comment to 'go through'.

So, now to something else. DDoS attacks? I don't even know what this is!!
