Eh I'm not all that religious so it doesn't particularly bother me ... I did find some of the comments interesting. I had no knowledge of the cross' symbolism. The arguments in religion will always exist so there's no point in getting angry over it, bb. Besides, I doubt that this changes your beliefs at all, right? ;)

This is nothing new and it's really what philosophers call an "appeal to ignorance". No evidence suggests that Romans used crosses for execution. Therefore Christ couldn't have been crucified. O.o

Right. Because Christ was supposedly crucified in... Rome? Ah, no, right. He was supposedly crucified on Mount Calvary, near Jerusalem. At least, that's the bits that the Council of Nicaea decided should be "official doctrine" along with his sudden elevation to divinity. :)

*shrugs* its one theory. Not to mention, if people are truly believers it won't matter to them.

This kind of shit always makes me tired. Some people also believe that cows are freaking divine. People STARVE while fat cows walk through the streets in India... So ... tons of historical documents (outside the Bible) verify Christ's existence and lots of other details (read: The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel)...

It makes me sad.

Also, that's where we get the word excruciating. The very word for 'cross' is in the middle. exCRUCiating. Coincidence? I don't know, but in the time of Christ, it was the most painful way to die, known to man.
